Jessica Wilkes-Ball joined the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) leadership team at Mills & Reeve law firm in 2022 as the firms first ever sustainability manager. Jessica’s responsibilities include the development and delivery of a firm-wide national environmental and sustainability strategy for Mills & Reeve. This involves setting a clear strategy that will enable Mills & Reeve to set a realistic date for achieving net zero carbon and include a series of suggested and realistic measures to achieve this.
This strategy will encompass energy and water usage, waste management, travel and food, with the ultimate aim of reducing the environmental impact of the firm and contributing to the firm’s goal to be net-zero carbon in its operations.
Jessica has recently joined the Business in the Community (BITC) West Midlands Leadership Board and is honoured to represent Mills & Reeve in the region. Jessica looks forward to connecting the firm with other like-minded individuals. Jessica is also an active member of the Legal Sustainability Alliance and has recently joined the Net Zero Protocol working group with The Law Society. Outside of work, she is a proud trustee for Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer.
Jessica lives in Shropshire with her husband, son and stepson and is inspired through her work to build a better world for everyone to enjoy.
