Supporting Business and Community in Newport
Thu, 07 March @ 10:00 – 13:30
This is an in person event.
Audience
This event is designed to support both members and non-members of Business in the Community (BITC), including businesses, charities, and community organisations with operations in Newport and surrounding areas.
Background
Business in the Community and its members in Wales are acutely aware of the challenges faced by many communities in Newport struggling to cope with the impacts of the cost-of-living crisis and persistent inflation. As such, at this event key discussion topics will include business volunteering, community collaboration and inclusive recruitment.
About the event
You will hear about BITC’s Newport Place Programme, funded by Newport City Council Shared Prosperity Funding, KLA Foundation and USW.
The programme is a partnership of businesses, community organisations and Newport Council and aims to enhance the great work already happening in communities, whilst focussing on new ideas and innovation that will mobilise people, ideas and passion in Newport.
The session will celebrate existing positive connections between local businesses and the communities they serve, whilst also providing space for more potential partnerships to flourish across Newport and beyond.
Refreshments
Tea, coffee and sandwiches will be provided.
