Business in the Community (BITC) partners with CEOs, board members and senior leaders to leverage the power of personal business leadership to drive positive change and to create real action on the issues that matter most.
Through providing opportunities for collective action and direct engagement, producing data, insights and content and providing structures for active leadership on key issues, BITC enables senior leaders to contribute to lifting up the UK by addressing systemic issues and delivering impact at scale across the UK.

Leadership Council
BITC’s Leadership Council convenes CEOs from the UK’s largest businesses and leverages their collective experience and ideas to lift up the UK by taking action that will transform lives, and help the planet and communities to thrive.
Dinners and Roundtables
We also run regular Senior Leadership Network events across the UK, which bring together C-Suite and senior leaders for discussions based around specific themes and geographies.
CEO Breakfasts
Monthly CEO Breakfasts bring together CEOs for confidential, informal discussions on current responsible business issues, challenges and developments. Attendees find real value in sharing experiences in focused groups.
Leadership Summit
Held in London each summer, BITC’s annual Leadership Summit convenes the CEOs of the UK’s largest businesses to discuss the major themes, challenges and opportunities facing business and society.

Engage Directly: Seeing is Believing Visits
Immerse yourself in communities to better understand lived experiences and the impact of certain specific issues through taking part in BITC’s Seeing is Believing programme, which has brought these issues to life by sharing them with thousands of leaders, and has inspired change across the country through fostering collaboration with community organisations and local councils to develop innovative, impactful solutions that create lasting positive change.

State of the Nation 2024
BITC’s inaugural ‘Lifting Up the UK: State of the Nation 2024’ report surveyed and interviewed CEOs and Board members from across the UK’s 450 biggest companies. The report, which detailed the major challenges faced by CEOs, how their businesses are addressing key societal and environmental issues, the evolving role of business in society and how CEOs are taking further action has initiated a national conversation on the findings and calls to action detailed in the report.
Challenge Yourself: Advisory Services
Take an ‘outside-in’ look and further the responsible business journey of yourself and your business by working with experts to demonstrate strong, bold leadership on key issues including social mobility and climate action. 
BITC’s Advisory Services team has worked with hundreds of organisations, supporting them to make the bold business decisions that will future-proof their business, navigate change, and to help business deliver value beyond profit in society. We offer leadership training and coaching across responsible business topics as well as partner with organisations on their strategic change programmes.
