Opening Doors Forum: Careers Education
Thu, 28 November @ 09:30 – 10:30
This is an online event.
Audience
Open to both members and non-members of Business in the Community (BITC). This event would be of interest to employers seeking to improve their outreach and careers education support to young people and has been designed for Opening Doors employers.
Background
Employer standards in careers education are crucial in bridging the gap between academic preparation and industry expectations. Encounters with the world of work have been found to boost future employment outcomes for young people. With nearly 900,000 young people becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training)*, quality employer interventions in careers education have never been more needed to support young people in their next step.
