Just Transition Leadership Lunch
Tue, 03 December @ 13:00 – 15:00
This is an in-person event
Audience
This event is invite only and open to BITC members. The event has been designed exclusively for senior sustainability and social impact leaders, as well as other senior leaders that have an interest in ensuring their organisation’s net zero transition is fair and inclusive.
Background
In the wake of the COP29 climate summit, we invite senior business sustainability leaders to join us for an essential dialogue on delivering a just transition to net zero. As the urgency to address the climate crisis intensifies, businesses have a pivotal role in ensuring that the shift to a low-carbon economy is fair and inclusive, benefiting workers, communities, suppliers, and customers.
This event will highlight practical strategies and collaborative efforts that not only reduce carbon emissions but also support workers, communities, and other stakeholders impacted by this transition. Participants will hear about and have the opportunity to help shape BITC’s upcoming Just Transition Charter tool, which will provide businesses with a framework for action through this emerging topic.
About the event

Aims of the event:
- To share insights from business leaders who attended the COP29 climate conference.
- To share examples of how business can contribute to a just transition to net zero.
