Through our advisory packages, Business in the Community (BITC) supports over 250 organisations each year, to make progress against their responsible business strategies. We leverage best practice and insights from our network of over 300 members to drive meaningful change.

Our specialist responsible business advisers provide bespoke support to a range of sectors, including public, private and third sector organisations by delivering targeted interventions, training, strategic change programmes, and action plans. Our Advisory Services areas of expertise

Our Inclusion & Wellbeing Advisers take an intersectional approach, recognising that individuals hold multiple identities that can intersect and influence their experiences at work. We go beyond surface-level representation to address systemic inequalities and create truly inclusive cultures. We work on a consultancy basis where we can help organisations:

  • Gain deep insights: Through audits, culture reviews, and data analysis, we uncover the lived experiences of employees, particularly those from minoritised groups, identifying strengths and areas for improvement. For example, we might analyse data to understand the representation of women in leadership positions, the pay gap between different ethnic groups, or the experiences of LGBTQ+ employees.
  • Develop effective action plans: We translate insights into actionable recommendations, including policy reviews and development, to promote inclusion at every level of your organisation.

Our Environment Advisers drive your net zero and Just Transition ambitions. We provide strategic direction to tackle Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, ensure a just transition to net zero, and meet Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and other regulatory requirements.

We deliver actionable support and tailored training and workshops on net zero, circular economy, and nature stewardship. This will empower your organisation to meet legal obligations and benefit from the opportunities through transitioning to a Net Zero economy.
