Alex Durand has been at SaxonAir and the Klyne Aviation Group since 2013, based at Norwich Airport. He previously lived in Oxfordshire with his wife and four children, but has had family in Norfolk since the 1950s so has always felt connected there.
An Honours graduate of Birmingham University, Alex has a Diploma in Management Studies from Oxford Brookes University and is also an alumnus of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses programme. He has an aviation industry role as Vice Chairman of the British Business and General Aviation Association (BBGA), another voluntary role as a Department for Transport Aviation Ambassador. He’s also recently joined the Board of Norfolk Chambers of Commerce.
With over 30 years’ experience in aviation and running a range of businesses, Alex would like to share this to improve both business performance and the surrounding communities. He says that Norfolk and the wider Eastern Region seem set for significant growth, but the challenge is to ensure this brings benefits beyond just shareholder value.
