Since joining Aviva in 2007, Andrew has led teams running the global shared services to deliver Aviva’s savings, retirement, investment and insurance services to customers. Andrew is now leading Aviva’s Place Programme to realise Aviva’s sustainability ambition of building stronger communities.
After studying Physics, Andrew started his career in chemical manufacturing and specialist coatings with ICI Plc before joining PPG Inc. Based in the UK, Milan and Geneva, Andrew managed international teams across Europe, North America and Asia in roles spanning engineering, product development, marketing, manufacturing, and supply chain.
Andrew is an advocate for businesses and colleagues making a positive contribution in their communities. He is a founding director of the award-winning Norwich Business Improvement District, represents Aviva at the Norfolk Chamber of Commerce. Andrew chairs the Norwich Town Deal Board, collaborating to secure £26m of inward investment and delivering the first Town Deal project in the UK, the Digitech Factory at Norwich City College. Since 2022, Andrew has chaired the Norwich BITC Place Board, co-hosting the Seeing is Believing visit in June 2022.
