For the past two decades, Ric Hampton has lived and worked in Bristol and the surrounding South West. First coming to Bristol for University, Ric found that the vibrant culture and friendly people made it a place he could happily call home. Ric’s work in the built environment has given him insight into the growth and diversification of the city and region, and seen with that many changes. Ric’s role as Regional Director for Hydrock has included consultancy around some of the region’s most important construction and infrastructure development projects, including engineering works on Castle Park View, Wapping Wharf, defence projects in Plymouth, The Wave, award-winning offices for the UK Hydrographic Office, and much in between.
Ric has always been passionate about social value, supporting great causes, and leveraging the corporate resource of Hydrock to deliver real change across local communities. This passion led Ric, through Hydrock’s national membership, to join the Business in the Community’s (BITC) South West Leadership Board. Ric has aligned Hydrock’s regional social value strategy to support BITC’s objectives.
