
Sarah Barrass is a dedicated project management professional with extensive experience in human resources, employee engagement, and the criminal justice sector. She has worked across diverse environments, from corporate HR functions to frontline rehabilitation services, demonstrating a strong ability to manage projects, develop policies, and foster inclusive workplaces.
Sarah has held key HR and employee engagement roles, including Employee Engagement Solutions Manager and HR & HSEQ Project Manager at Sodexo UK & Ireland and Entegra Europe UK & Ireland respectively. She has been instrumental in developing initiatives that enhance employee experience, drive engagement, and promote diversity and inclusion. Her expertise in policy development, inclusion and belonging and wellbeing strategies has supported business-wide improvements in workplace culture.
Alongside her corporate HR experience, Sarah has spent several years working within the criminal justice sector. As Head of Interventions at HMP Northumberland, she led rehabilitation programmes aimed at reducing reoffending, managing a team delivering behavioural change interventions. Her earlier roles as a Probation Service Officer and Groupwork Facilitator focused on risk assessment, offender rehabilitation, and multi-agency collaboration to support reintegration into society.
Sarah has joined the Leadership Board to contribute her knowledge of both corporate and public sector environments, with a passion for responsible business and social impact. She believes in fostering workplaces and communities where individuals can develop and thrive. Outside of work, she enjoys walking, audiobooks, and live music events.
