Business in the Community (BITC)is accelerating change by setting targets to meet the progress required by the Global Goals.
There is insufficient progress being made on the Global Goals, also known as the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and businesses need to play their part if responsible business targets are to be met1.
To help achieve this, we have identified Six Catalysts of Responsible Business: actions that will accelerate, scale and perpetuate corporate actions to tackle the biggest issues facing society.
This toolkit, responsible business targets to accelerate change, enables businesses to set and measure targets that reflect the scale of issues facing the world today and help meet the Goals.

- How to develop ambitious goals.
- Measuring and reporting your impact.
The toolkit includes examples of ambitious targets being set by other organisations in a bid to accelerate responsible business practices.
